Howard Ray Spicer, son of Pete and Mildred Martin Spicer, was born on Tuesday, September 1, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. He departed this life on Friday, April 20, 2024 at his residence in Piggott, AR, at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 19 days.
He was a retired truck driver and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott.
On September 19, 2003 in Piggott, AR, he was united in marriage to Glenda Spicer. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2024.
He is survived by two step-sons, Darrin Lipsey and Travis Lipsey and wife, Katie; step-daughter, Cynda Moore and husband, Brian; 12 grandchildren, Jacqueline Gatling and husband, Braden, Trevor Spicer and wife, McKenzie, Andrea Lipsey, Will Lipsey, Danielle Lipsey and Nathan Lipsey and wife, Shayla, Issac Moore, Hannah Moore, Samuel Moore, Melody Faith Moore and Justin Moore, Beth Tucker and husband, Matthew; 10 great-grandchildren, Rorie and Rossie Gatling, Austin Voiles, Lola and Ashyn Wofford, McKinley and Ryleigh Tucker, Clara, Fisher and Merlin Lipsey and a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Spicer.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Neal Ray Spicer and brother, Kenneth Spicer.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at the Connection Point Baptist Church in Brookland, Arkansas.
Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
