Herman Gene White, 72 of Malden, formerly of Clarkton was born to the late Eugene White & Emma Smith White in Okolona, Mississippi on January 7, 1948. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Herman Gene White was united in marriage on July 4, 1994 to Betty Jean Wallace White in Malden, Missouri. She survives of the home. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ in Malden.

He is also survived by:  Daughter: Tonya Love of Cape Girardeau, Son: Daniel Moore & wife, Reeka of Sikeston, 3 Step-daughters: Dorris McCloud of Cape Girardeau, Tracey Edwards of St. Louis, MO. & Lesia Jordan & husband, Lester of Malden. 5 Step-sons: Argentry Hamilton & wife, Tammy of Hayti, Joseph Hamilton & wife, Tina of Pontiac, Michigan, Kevin Hamilton & wife, Kathy of Hayti, James Hamilton & wife, Nikki of Texas & Steve Jackson of Malden. A host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Sisters: Rachel White of Malden, Tina White of Decatur, Illinois, Melissa White of Atlanta, GA., Louise Townsend of Malden & Ruby Pearl Ray of Okolona, Mississippi. Brother: Winford White of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, grandson: Daniel Leigh Moore, Jr., step-sons: Gene Jackson & George Hamilton, Jr., brothers: Harold Lee White, Willie White, George White & L.C. White and sisters: Geneva Brewer, Evelyn Collier, Virginia Hughes & Roxy Woods.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the Landess Funeral Chapel from 1-2 P.M.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden with Elder James Fair officiating.
