87. Dean Morrison was born on February 25, 1932 in Oxford, Arkansas to the late William Terry Morrison & Martha Elizabeth Stroud Morrison He departed this life on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at his residence in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 87.

1. Dean Morrison was retired from the U S Navy and from being the Electronic Teacher at the Vocational & Technical School in Poplar Bluff.

He was a former member and elder of the Highland Church of Christ in Poplar Bluff. H. Dean Morrison was united in marriage to Delores Evelyn Edens Morrison on October 1, 1954 in Bragg City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on Friday, September 30, 2011.

His survivors include:

Sons: Scott Morrison & wife, Janet of Woodbridge, Virginia and James Morrison & wife, Melissa of DuPont, Washington.

Daughter: Ann Sims & husband, Douglas of Lubbock, Texas.

Grandchildren: Emily Howard & husband, Garrison, Joseph Sims & his fiancé, Jordan Putman, Laura, Amanda & Katherine Morrison, Autumn, Emma & Allyson Morrison.

Brother: Dale Morrison & wife, Vivian of Springfield, Missouri.

Sisters: Georgia Hancock of Atlanta, Georgia and LaVene Powell & husband, Robert of Kennett, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, brother: Clyde Morrison, sisters: Faye Knotts, Jessie Harper, Garneeta Cooley, Veda Ross, Fern George & Opal Miller and granddaughter: Kristen Morrison.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 10-11 A.M. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Mr. Vernon Curry officiating.
