Gloria Sue Richardson Hatton, 73, of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Savannah, Tennessee.

Gloria was born on Monday, August 25, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Theodore and Mary F. Saylor Smith.

Gloria was a devoted homemaker and loving mother who found great joy in caring for her family.

On March 21, 1975 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Thomas E. Richardson. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1995. She later married Billy Hatton in St. Francis, Arkansas on July 2, 2016. He survives.

Her other survivors include son, Thomas Richardson and wife, Marsha of Dexter; two daughters, Joyce Burks of Savannah, Tennessee and Kathy Carroll and husband, John of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Jessie Smith of Poplar Bluff and a sister Sylvia Kersey of Aid, Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by four children, including her son, Tony Smith; sister, Mary Freeman and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell with Brother Tim Russell officiating.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory in Campbell is in charge of the arrangements.
