Gloria Ann (Zenga) Darnell, 91, of Malden, Missouri went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 28, 2022. She left this world peacefully at her residence in Bernie, Missouri.

Mrs. Darnell was born to Vincent Zenga and Anna Prudente Zenga of Jersey City, New Jersey on March 8, 1931. She had one sibling, an older brother, William Zenga. On February 18, 1950, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Gloria married Jimmy (Jim) Lee Darnell of Malden, Missouri. The couple was blessed with three children, two sons, Robert and Jimmie, and one daughter, Debra. The family relocated to Malden, Missouri in 1962 prior to their youngest child's birth. It is there that Jim and Gloria continued to build a beautiful life and legacy together over the next six decades. Mrs. Darnell enjoyed raising and nurturing goats for many years on the goat farm she shared with her husband. She dedicated her life to being a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Darnell was a devout member of the Catholic Church and attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Malden, Missouri.

Mrs. Darnell was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Zenga and Anna Prudente Zenga; brother, William Zenga; husband, Jimmy Darnell and beloved son, Robert Darnell. She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Clay) Pruett of Fairdealing, Missouri; son, Jimmie (Debbie) Darnell of Malden, Missouri; seven grandchildren; Matthew Dockins, Melissa Armstrong, Sarah Patterson, Anna Young, Justin Darnell, Travis Darnell and Ashley Kirby and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 10-11 A.M. at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden. Funeral Services will follow at 11 A.M. with Pastor David Thomas officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
