Malden ~ Gill Louis Jones, 70 of Kennett, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Gill, son of Elmer and Emma Jones, was born on Tuesday, January 2, 1951 in Lepanto, Arkansas.

He was a retired long haul truck driver and attended the First General Baptist Church in Malden.

On Friday, July 22, 1994 he was untied in marriage to Laverne Downs, she survives.

Other survivors include daughter, Christina Castanon and husband, Martin of Moreno, California; four grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Jones of Millington, Tennessee; sister, Brenda Howell and husband Billy of West Memphis, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Clark Kimmons of Marion, Arkansas; two nieces and one nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Mack Jones; one sister, Elizabeth Kimmons and sister-in-law, Glenna Jones.

A private family memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden will be in charge of arrangements.
