Jackson, Missouri ~ Gerald Delane Black was born on Tuesday, August 25, 1942 in Fagus, Missouri to the late Ernest Lee and Tamar Johnston Black.  He departed this life on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at his residence in Jackson, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 15 days. Gerald worked at Todd Feed and Seed in Campbell and was of the Baptist Faith.

On May 28, 1966 in Pollard, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Joyce Bryant, she survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Margaret Barker and Craig Sheppard of Poplar Bluff, Gerry McClain and husband, Mark of Centerville, Iowa and Tammy Eggers and husband Brian of Jackson, Missouri; six grandchildren, Justin Barkley, Kaitlin McClain, Jesse Colter, Emily Oliver, Taylor Sterling and Ben Sterling and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wanda Irby.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Landess Funeral Home chapel in Campbell with Reverend Aulden LeBlanc officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri.
