George Holtzhouser of Cape son of the late John Henry Holtzhouser & Artelly Belle Williams Holtzhouser was born in Campbell, Missouri on Tuesday, September 7, 1937. Mr. Holtzhouser passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 26 days.

George Holtzhouser was an electrical lineman and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield. George was united in marriage to Wanda Myrick on April 14, 1962 in Malden, Missouri. She survives.

His other survivors include two sons, Kevin Holtzhouser and wife, Michele of Cape and David Holtzhouser of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Taylor Ritter and husband, Graham of Cape and Emily Sechrest of Cape and two great-grandchildren, August and Laurel Ritter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Michael Darin Holtzhouser; brother, Carel John Holtzhouser and sister, Gale Joyce.

Visitation will begin at 1 PM Sunday, July 10, 2022 with funeral services to follow at 2 PM at Landess Funeral Home in Malden with Bro. Ronnie Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden
