Holcomb ~ Gary Wayne Murdock, 60 of Holcomb, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas.

Gary, son of Jerry and Barbara Huddleston Murdock, was born on Sunday,
December 4, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was a Probation and Parole Assistant at the Kennett Community Supervision Center and also a bus driver for Holcomb Schools for 15 years.  He loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was also a St. Louis Cardinals fan but most of all he loved spending time with his family, and being a Grandpa and Uncle. He was of the Baptist faith.

On May 14, 1987 in Holcomb, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Tracey Mills.  She survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Barbara Murdock of Holcomb; daughter, Rachel Murdock of Kennett; son, Heath Murdock of Brookland, Arkansas; granddaughter, Willow Kate Murdock of Brookland, Arkansas; two sisters, Tricia Casper and husband, Rick of Holcomb, Sharon Bohr of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; brother, Mike Murdock and wife, Donna of Holcomb; mother-in-law, Marie Haynes of Campbell; a special uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Murdock and grandparents, Tom and Thelma Murdock.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon, Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m., at the funeral chapel with Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial will follow at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.

Due to the pandemic, the family is requiring everyone to wear masks inside the funeral home.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
