Campbell ~ Franklin Delano Vails, 80 of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Franklin, son of William E. and Virgie Mounce Vails, was born on Sunday, February 4, 1940 in Catron, Missouri.

He worked maintenance for the Campbell School District for 22 years and was of the Baptist faith.

On July 17, 1961 in Campbell, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Patsy Ann Cox.  She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Tina Burks and husband, Pat of Campbell; two sons, Joe Vails of Malden, John Vails of Paragould; six grandchildren, Nathan Vails of Van Buren, Joey Vails of Poplar Bluff, Patrick Burks of Poplar Bluff, Ashley Burks of Campbell, Xander Vails of Paragould and Chloe Vails of Paragould; four great-grandchildren, Carson Burks of Campbell, Josiah Vails of Poplar Bluff, Braelyn Burks of Poplar Bluff, Zaylee Burks of Campbell; one brother, William Vails of Puxico; two sisters, Lola Thomas of Virginia and Nadine Donaldson of Rockford, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harley E. Vails, Charles Vails, Roy Vails; five sisters, Joyce Arnold, Maxine Lester, Thelma Valentine, Eula Owens and Geraldine Gregory.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 at Elder Cemetery in Campbell.  Burial will immediately follow.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
