Obituary

Campbell ~ Franklin Delano Sandefer, 86 of Hernando, Mississippi formerly of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his residence in Hernando, Mississippi.

Delano, son of William Jackson and Maggie Ester Stevenson Sandefer, was born on Friday, October 12, 1934 in Senath, Missouri.

He retired from MoDot and was a member of the Southaven Community Church in Southaven, Mississippi.

On May 30, 1953, in Piggott, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Joyce Elaine Lawson.  She preceded him in death on January 21, 2014.

His survivors include, two daughters, Deborah Cavaness of Southaven, Mississippi, Linda Gregory and husband, Don of Hernando, Mississippi; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; one great-grandson and three sisters, Liverta Randel, Zula Holsten and Jean Karnes.

Visitation will be from 1 - 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m., with Reverend Don Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
