Florence Etta Ison, 80 of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Winchester Nursing Facility in Bernie, Missouri.

Florence, daughter of James William and Florence Moore Lewis was born on Friday, September 7, 1945 in Garland, Arkansas.

She worked at Tyson foods for 15 years and later was a homemaker aid for Elara Caring and was a member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Malden.

She is survived by daughter, Brenda Ann Kilgore of Bernie; son, Robert Ison and wife, Elana of Malden; five grandchildren, Jarrett Kilgore, Jennifer Johns and husband, Demarcus, Robert Ison, Jr., Trevor Ison and Tyler Ison and wife, Grace and seven great-grandchildren, JaMya Kilgore, Naima Kilgore, Princeton Kilgore, Jossi Kilgore, Paytyn Ison, Zayne Ison and Makoa Ison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, R.L. Hill, Willie Nance, Lee Guster Nance, James William Lewis, Robert Lee Lewis and Arbie Lee Lewis and five sisters, Mammie Lee Nance, Fannie Mae Nance, Lizzie Lewis, Mary Lewis and Martha Lewis.

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2026 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden, with the funeral service following at 3 p.m., with Pastor William Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
