Elsie Keller, 98, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her residence in O'Fallon, Illinois.
Elsie, the daughter of Dolen Ray, birth mother Hazel Long Ray, and stepmother Lorna Ray, was born on Thursday, June 2, 1927, in Puxico, Missouri.
She was the office manager at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri, and was a member of Sugar Tree General Baptist Church in Bernie, Missouri.
On July 28, 1946, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Rev. Cecil G. Keller. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2002.
Her survivors include two sons, Graden Keller of Houston, Texas, and Scott Keller and wife, Stephanie, of O'Fallon, Illinois; son-in-law, Terry Miller; grandchildren, Kristen and Crissy Keller-Nordin, Karis and Adam Ivie, Brian Keller, Chris and Dina Day, Todd and Linda Day, Hailey and William Chisum Goldstein, Gordon Snow, and Travis Snow; great-grandchildren, Madison Kempton, Amelia Keller-Nordin, Vivienne Keller-Nordin, Everett Nolan Ivie, Dean Adam Ivie, Elsie Jo Ivie, Morgan Day, Logan Day, Christopher Page, Greg Page, Tessa Day, Zane Day, Athen Day, Farrah Day, Cameron Lee, Brittany Lee, and Nora Keller; brother, John and Ruth Ann Ray of O'Fallon, Missouri; sister, June Biorgi of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Miller; grandson, Clayton Keller; four sisters, Versal Ray, Chloe Ray, Ethyl Blackman and Eunice Rodmocker; and two brothers, Junior Ray and Charles Ray.
Visitation will begin at 2:30 PM, Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 PM, Sunday, July 27, 2025, in the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with Dr. John Ray and Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Interment will be in Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri.
Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden is in charge of the arrangements.
