Ella Marshall was born on January 26, 1933 in Flat River, Missouri to the late George Tony Gilmer & Goldie B. Simms Gilmer. She departed this life on Monday, December 16, 2019 at her residence in Brookfield, Missouri at the age of 86 years 10 months and 20 days.
Ella Marshall was a homemaker. According to one grandson he stated " she was the best cheeseburger maker." Her one & only granddaughter said it best that she is the Fruit of the Spirit, " Love, Joy, Peace, Forebearence, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control." She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden where she served in the nursery for years & was a member of the Women's Missionary Union. Ella was united in marriage to Robert Linn (Bob) Marshall on August 9, 1952. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2010.
Her survivors include:
Daughters: Sue Marshall of St. Louis, April Shuffler & husband, Gene of Brooksfield, MO., Tami Broyles & husband, Mike of Pocohontas, Arkansas, & Cindy Shaw & husband, Mike of Trenton, Illinois.
Son: Alan Marshall & wife, Candy of New Franklin, MO.
8 Grandchildren: Ryan Broyles, Marshal Shaw, Christina White, Tyler Shaw, Joe Shuffler, Samuel Marshall, Jacob Marshall & Joshna Marshall.
6 Great-grandchildren: Madi, Jack, Will, Levi, Molly & Norah.
2 Brothers: Joe Gilmer of Florida & Bill Gilmer & wife, Betty of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers: Tony Gilmer & Paul Gale Gilmer & sister: Betty Edgar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 6-9 P.M. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden at 11:00 A.M. with Brother Keith Crow officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
Memorials to the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden or the Lottie Moon Mission.
