Campbell ~ Elizabeth Roberta Freed of St. Peters, MO passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. She was born on February 12, 1936 in Bessie, TN to Hazie Farrah and Sarah Rebecca (Haines) Meatheany. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: AJ (Georgia) Meatheany, Doyle (Lucille) Meatheany, and James Meatheany; sisters: Hazel (Ralph) Pope, Opal (Atlas) McCormick, Lillian (Emmanuel) Watson, and Helen Meatheany. Survived by loving sister-in-law Mary (James) Meatheany
She was the loving wife of Cecil G. Freed for 66 years, devoted mother of Pamela Freed, Michael (Susan) Freed, Sherry (Bradley) Robinette, Larry (Kelly) Freed, and Lisa (James) West; Cherished grandmother of Bryan (Valerie) Freed, Jason (Katherine) Freed, Ryan (Danelle) Robinette, Kristin (Billy) Gossett, Nicholas (Britney Stubbs) Freed, Corey (Erin) Robinette, Danielle West, Allison (Christopher) Brummitt, Abigael (Nicholas) Eastwood, Collin (Amira Kiblawi) Freed, Justin (Hayley Gantner) Freed, Emma West; Treasured Great-grandmother of Kameron, Elise, Paige, Maximus, Cole, William, Reed, Maggie, Drake, Charlotte, Hannah, Caroline, Elsie, and baby Freed. She was a loving Aunt, Sister-in-law and friend to many.
Family was always the center of her world. She loved each and every one unconditionally and equally. She was the Matriarch of the family and was happiest when she was planning the next family reunion or Sunday dinner. She loved to feed her family and always had a dish to share. She loved quilts and wanted to make sure that each grandchild received a handmade one for their graduation and wedding. These quilts will keep her memory alive.
Funeral service will be at 12 noon, Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with Reverend Jeff Roever officiating. Burial will follow in Elder Cemetery, Campbell, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Association.
Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
