Edna Mary Robinson, 78 of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Edna, daughter of Lonnie and Suzana Golden Carthan, was born on Thursday, March 20, 1943 in Helena, Arkansas.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Malden.

Edna was a selfless woman.  She loved her family and God more than anyone could ever imagine.  Edna loved life and never waivered from her faith.  She never turned anyone away and always shared what little she had.  She wanted everyone to know, she had lived a good life and was at peace going home to glory.

On March 5, 1961 in Millwood, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to James Robinson, Jr.   He preceded her in death on May 12, 2019.

Her survivors include three daughters, Alma Robinson of Malden, Loraine Burton of Farmington and Jane I. Jones of Virginia Beach, Virginia; four sons, John Young and wife, Tina of Minnesota, Lonnie Robinson & wife, Eunice of Pierre, South Dakota, James Robinson, III of Malden and Duane Robinson & wife, Alicia of Chesapeake, Virginia; 23 Grandchildren, 33 Great-Grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Rose Arnett and husband, Eddie of Minnesota; two brothers, Henry Carthan of Michigan and Billy Carthan and wife, Pat of Washington.

Beside her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Mary Ann Hawes; two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden. With funeral services beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home chapel in Malden with Reverend Jay Slaughter.  Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
