Malden-Ed White, 72 of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at his residence in Malden, Missouri.

Ed, son of James Edward and Opal Marcella Dowdy White, was born on Thursday, November 5, 1953 in Malden, Missouri.

He worked for WW Wood Products in Dudley in the cabinet repair department before retiring and attended the First Southern Baptist Church.

On December 8, 1972 in Kennett, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Ruby Jewell Smart. She survives.

Other survives include daughter, Amy Parks of Bernie; three grandchildren, Trevor Parks of Malden, Sylis Parks and Rylan Parks both of Bernie; sister, Erna Macaluso of Malden; brothers, Ralph Morton and wife, Rose Mary of St. Mary’s, Missouri and Harold White and Linda of Piedmont

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; son, Calvin White and sister, JoAnn Thompson.

Visitation will begin at 8 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2026 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with funeral services beginning at 9 a.m. with Reverend Aulden LeBlanc officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
