Doylas Jay Skaggs of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Holcomb,  was born on Monday, January 3, 1972 to the late Donnie Jake Skaggs and Brenda Kay Higgins Thacker in Kennett, Missouri. He departed this life on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 51 years, 10 months, and 20 days.

Doylas had worked in a Pepsi factory in Alabama and was a good artist who loved drawing.

His survivors include:  two daughters, Cassie Erwin and Mariah Erwin both of Flint, Michigan; son, Jake Poe of Piggott, Arkansas; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Pamela Skaggs and Loretta Hart both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be announced at at later date.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell is in charge of the arrangements.
