Doris Jane (Dodson) Gregg departed her earthly home on March 25, 2026 at 5:55 A.M. surrounded by her husband and children. Doris was born in Stoddard County, Missouri on July 25, 1955, the 13th child of Homer Alexander & Bessie Alice (Wilburn) Dodson.
On June 15th, 1973 she married the love of her life Kenneth David Gregg, who survives of the home. They were married for a wonderful 53 years. Together they had 4 children.
Andrea Gail (Mike) Little of Jackson, Missouri, Deanna Lynn (Wayne) Earnheart of Gideon, Missouri, Kendra Ann (Nick) White of New Madrid, Missouri, and Trenton David Gregg of Parma, Missouri.
Other survivors include the grandchildren Mary Margaret (Maggie) Carter (Peyton Kennard) of Sikeston, Morgan Grace Earnheart (Logan Woodard) of Malden, Owen David Carter of Fruitland, and bonus granddaughter Addison Little of Jackson.
Great grandchildren Leighton Grace Woodard and Nolan James Kennard.
Her Brother Homer Dewayne (Kelly) Dodson of Tallapoosa, Missouri and her brother-in-law, Garley "Bud" Eddings of Park Hills, Missouri survive. She is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Doris loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren fiercely.
Preceded in death by her parents Homer and Bessie and brothers Jimmy Lee, Jerry Alexander, Linzell Eugene, Owen Sherrell, Bennie Joe, Robert Louis, Travis Jean, Lonnie Ray, Ulis Wilburn and sisters Verlena June (Dodson) Eddings, and Phyllis Marie (Dodson) Kuehle.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden with funeral services beginning at 3 p.m. with Pastor Ricky Taylor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Southern Baptist Church of Tallapoosa, 2910 County Highway 262, Gideon, MO or the Saint Francis Cancer Care Fund, 211 Saint Francis Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.
Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden is in charge of the arrangements.
