Donald Gene Duck, 70 of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Dexter, Missouri.

Donald, son of Wayne Hickman and Linda Louise McGill Duck, was born on Tuesday, June 30, 1953 in Malden, Missouri.

He worked in construction, specializing in siding installation and was of the Baptist Faith. Donald was also a veteran of the United States Army.

His survivors include two daughters, LaDonna Stevens of Dexter, Missouri and LaRhonda Barsh (Michael) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; son, Shannon Duck (Kat Duck) of Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren, Britt Rogers(Amanda), Dustin Rogers (Angel), Dylan Stevens, Christopher Duck, Trever Duck, Madison Barsh, and Shane Duck; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmy Wayne Duck of Malden, Alvin Wayne Slayton of Rockford, Illinois and Jerry Lee Duck and wife, Deloris Kaye Reese of Qulin, Missouri; sister, Lois Ann Barks Duck and husband, James of Harviell, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie Ray Slayton and Johnny Leo Duck and sister, Carolyn Marie Slayton.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. at Landess Funeral Home in Malden with funeral services following at 11:30 A.M. with Mr. James Powell officiating. Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
