Obituary

Bernie ~ Deloris Darlene (Parker) Weeks, born October 9, 1937 in Malden, Missouri. She departed this life at Winchester Nursing Facility in Bernie, Missouri on February 17, 2025 at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 8 days.

She was united in marriage on November 13, 1954 to Cecil J.C. Weeks, Sr. of the Holcomb and Campbell area.

She and her husband owned and operated "Weeks Insurance Agency," in Campbell for thirty years, where she worked for sixteen years. She then worked in retail and sales for a number of years. She was a member of the Chalk Bluff Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution where she was a supporter of all their services including Wreaths Across America. She was a former member of the General Baptist Church of Campbell.

Deloris had a great love for history, traveling to historic places that she had studied, and documenting family history genealogy. She crocheted blankets for her children and grandchildren, handcrafted Christmas decorations, and collected lighthouses. Deloris loved a wide variety of music and treasured going to Gaither Homecomings with J.C. She had a green thumb for taking care of plants and caring for the rose bushes that she and J.C. planted together.

She is survived by two sons, Cecil Weeks Jr. and wife Myra of Bernie; Mark Alan Weeks and wife Jerene of St. Charles; one daughter, Pamela Darlene Woolbright and husband Michael of Columbia, Missouri. Grandchildren: Amy (Joey) Kerperien, Ashley (Andrew) Beard, Jennifer (David) Erickson, Michael (Kindra) Weeks, Matthew (Amanda) Weeks, Mandy Walker (Patrick), Meghan (Chris) Woolbright Brown, Michele (Cameron) Woolbright Hickman, Collin (Hannah) Weeks, Landon (Becca) Weeks, McKenna (Logan) Bettey, Tara (Gregg) Zeller, Brad (Natasha) Botsch, and Stephanie (Michael) Aul. One brother, Jim (Helene) Parker of Rockford, Illinois. She has 31 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil J.C. Weeks; one son, Jeffrey Michael "Mike" Weeks; one brother, Harold Parker; and by her parents William A Parker and Addie Louise (Snow) Parker.

Visitation will begin at 12 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, Missouri, with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m., with Reverend Ronnie Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell, Missouri.
