Delbert "Leo" Maloney of Malden, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at Winchester Place in Bernie at the age of 89 years, 3 months, 9 days.

Leo was born on Friday, December 15, 1933 in Risco, Missouri to Willard Maloney and Lena O'Daniel Maloney.  He served in the Missouri National Guard for 10 years.  Leo first worked at Federal Mogul, then taught electricity at Malden Trade School, and later retired as an electrician from Associated Electric in New Madrid.  He was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.  Leo was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores Fritts; second wife, Lucille Long; son, Danny Maloney; brother, Milburn Maloney; and sister, Tylene Butler.

His survivors include:  Daughter, Debbie Darnell and husband Jimmie of Campbell.

Two grandchildren and one step granddaughter, Jennifer McKinney.

Memorial graveside services will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden with Rev. John Tarter officiating.  Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
