Delbert Jay Garland, 92 of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Winchester Place in Bernie, Missouri.

Delbert, son of Jerry M. and Vevia Pearl Skelton Garland, was born on Friday, September 11, 1931 in Malden, Missouri.

On February 19, 1957 in New Madrid County, he was united in marriage to Ruby Ellen King, she preceded him in death on August 21, 2006. He retired from International, where he was a Parts Clerk for over 45 years and had previously attended New Life Ministries in New Madrid, Missouri.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Kenneth, Delmar, Joe, Ray and Paul Garland and three sisters, Flossie Beaird, Fay Carter and Adel Lanier.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024, beginning a 12 PM at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. The funeral service will follow at 1 PM in the Landess Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Keith Garland officiating. Interment will be Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
