Campbell ~ David Leo Peters, 81 of Campbell, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Winchester Place in Bernie, Missouri.

David, son of Leo Theodore and Margaret Elizabeth Quick Peters, was born on Friday, September 4, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was manager for the Shelter Work Shop in Poplar Bluff for over 20 years and was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

On June 30, 1962 in Glennonville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Susan Bader.  She survives.

Other survivors include children, Russell Peters of Poplar Bluff, Sabrina Deken and husband, Paul and Christopher Peters and wife, Sheila all of Glennonville, Rachel Walls and husband, Kevin of Beebe, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Joan Blume of Glennonville and Sister Augusteen Peters; several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sister Rebecca Peters.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with Rosary at 7 p.m.  Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2024 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Glennonville, with Father Victor Anokwute officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery in Glennonville.

Pallbearers will be Riley Peters, Joseph Deken, Jacob Deken, Joshua Peters, Logan Walls and Austin Tinsley.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Teresa Church Building Fund, 40694 St. Hwy JJ, Campbell, MO  63933.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
