Malden - David L Mattingly, 64 of Malden, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Aspire Health and Rehab in Malden, Missouri.

David, son of Clem Mattingly and Alida Marie Melenbrink Mattingly, was born on Monday, October 20, 1958 in Kennett, Missouri.He was a parts manager for many years at Bayird Ford in Malden and of the Catholic Faith.

On April 26, 1980, in Campbell, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Marie Louise Rogers. She preceded him in death on February 25, 2022.

Other survivors include two sons, Scott Mattingly and wife, Sarah of Evansville, Indiana, Logan Mattingly and wife, Angelica of Dexter; one daughter, Melissa Prewett and husband, Tyler of Peculiar, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Collin, Riley, Abby, Daniel & Elizabeth Mattingly, Savannah and Hunter Prewett, Bentley, Carter and Grayson Mattingly; brothers, Joe and Dennis Dees both of St. Louis,  Bob Dees of Desoto, Bud Dees, Bill, Rick and Tom Mattingly all of Wilhelmina and several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers, Jim and Charles Dees.

Funeral service will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell  with Reverend Larry Landers officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
