Campbell ~ David Long, 44 of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

David, son of Danny Tripp and Donna Sue Long Dickens, was born on Friday, September 10, 1976 in Kennett, Missouri.

He was a Self-employed roofer and enjoyed playing pool, darts and swimming and spending time with family.

On September 30, 2009, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Melanie Jackson.  She survives

Other survivors include eight daughters, Brittany Ralph of Paragould, Hanna Long of Eufaula, Oklahoma, D'Anne Sloan and husband, Tristin of Poplar Bluff, Dezi Rogers and husband, Austin of Dexter, Celeste Angelique of Oklahoma, Morgan Long and Justine Long both of DeSoto and Josie Gibson of Piggott; two sons, David Long, Jr. of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Jacob Long of Desoto; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Amy Higgins and husband, Richie of Piggott, Brenda Akridge and husband, Clinton of Campbell, Dawn Johnson and husband, Richard of Pollard, Elaine Roberts and husband, Tyler of Kennett; three brothers, Daniel Long of Campbell, Scotty Long and wife, Tina of Hot Springs, Arkansas, John Dickens of Campbell; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Chucky Dickens.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Campbell City Park at 2 p.m.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
