Campbell ~ Darrell D. Wilburn, 73 of Campbell, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his residence in Campbell, Missouri.

Darrell, son of H. B. and Thelma Wasson Wilburn, was born on Friday, July 29, 1949 in Holcomb, Missouri.

He was a graduate of ASU with a Specialist Degree in Education.  He served as FFA Teacher, Principal and Superintendent for Holcomb School for a total of 24 years and Superintendent for Campbell School for 4 years.  He as a member of the First Assembly of God in Campbell and the Campbell Rotary Club.  He was a Veteran of the United State Air Force having served during the Vietnam War.

On August 13, 1968, in Biloxi, Mississippi, he was united in marriage to Brenda Sue Ledford.  She survives.

Other survivors include daughter, Wendi Bedwell and husband, Travis of Campbell; Kevin Wilburn and wife, Cindy of Campbell; four grandchildren, Brittany Bedwell of Kennett, Erin Bedwell of Poplar Bluff; Colton Hurt and Ashlyn Wilburn both of Campbell; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Wilburn and Nellie Wilburn both of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bryan Wilburn, Bob Wilburn and wife, Wanda, Allen Wilburn, Connie Wilburn and wife, Donna.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Missouri.  Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Landess Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bruce Vinson and Gaylon Vinson officiating.  Burial will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Spencer Lemings, Eric Lemings, Marty Vancil, Colton Hurt, Greg Bradshaw and Zach Crawford.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
