Coy Wayne Penrod

Malden ~ Coy Wayne Penrod, 93 of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Aspire Nursing Home in Malden.

Coy, son of Clifford Hugh and Mary Belle Bradley Penrod, was born on Friday, November 22, 1929 in Houston, Texas.

He retired from General Motors in St. Louis and was a member of the Campbell General Baptist Church.

On May 20, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Meda Faye Sally Bailey.  She preceded him in death on September 16, 2012.  He later married Wanda Janice Baker on March 7, 2013 in Campbell, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on December 14, 2017.

His survivors include, one son, Joe Penrod and wife, Christy of Hillsboro, MO; one granddaughter, Joanna Marie Echols and husband, Craig of Virginia Beach, Virginia and great-grandchildren, Caelum Echols and Kierstyn Dixon and many more relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sally; wife, Wanda; sister, Aileen Wallace; brothers, Clifford "Junior" Penrod, Jr., Jerry Penrod, Ed Penrod and Bill Penrod.

Visitation will begin at 11 A.M., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Missouri, with services beginning at 12 p.m. with Reverend Darren Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Elder Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
