Malden ~ Connie Dewayne Edwards, Jr., 53 of Malden, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at his residence in Malden, Missouri.

Connie, son of Connie Dewayne and Jeannetta Kaye Floyd Edward, Sr., was born on Thursday, May 30, 1968 in Kennett, Missouri.

He was a heavy equipment operator; was of the Pentecostal faith; and a member of the SAL Post 494 (Son of American Legion).

On November 9, 2011, in Bloomfield, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Sarah Edwards.  She survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Jeannetta Kaye Edwards of Campbell; two sisters, Mary Ruth Blevin and Melanie Stearns both of Campbell; two sons, Avery Dewayne Edwards and Connie Dewayne Edwards, III both of Malden; two daughters, Janay Thacker and Cassie Cole both of Malden and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Connie Dewayne Edwards, Sr. and brother, Billy Gene Meadows.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m., with Kevin Gill officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.

Pallbearers will the SAL Post 494 of Qulin and an escort will be provided by the American Legion Motorcycle Riders Post 494, family and a loads of friends.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
