Charlotte Jean Baum (née Loudenslager), 91, of Valrico, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Brandon Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on June 8, 1932, in Carthage, Missouri, Charlotte was the daughter of Ryford "Guy" Loudenslager and Ruby Oleta Fasken. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1950 and went on to work at Big Smith, the Carthage Courthouse probate office, and Sac O Sage Electric in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. A woman of faith, Charlotte was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs.

Charlotte was the proud and loving mother of Melvin "Kent" Isbell and Cindy Ann Isbell from her first marriage. On September 2, 1977, she married Robert L. Baum in El Dorado Springs, beginning a loving partnership that spanned 45 years. Together, Charlotte and Robert shared many adventures, traveling across the country during his career transfers and building a life filled with joy and companionship.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Baum; her daughter, Cindy Isbell Markham, and son-in-law, John Markham of Valrico, Florida; her granddaughter, Crystal Shumaker of Inman, South Carolina; and three great-grandchildren: Alysia Nichols of Valrico, Florida, Kaitlyn Shumaker, and Philip G. "PJ" Shumaker, Jr., both of Inman, South Carolina.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Kent.

A graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery – Landess Addition in Campbell, Missouri. Charlotte will be laid to rest beside her son, Kent.

She will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
