Obituary

Charles Luvell Hobbs, son of Charles Edward Hobbs and Essie Idell Haynes Hobbs was born on Saturday, July 25, 1936 in Alicia, Arkansas.  He departed this life on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Missouri, at the age of 84 years and 20 days.

He was a retired farm worker, and was a member of the Maple Grove General Baptist Church.

On October 9, 1957 in Hernando, Mississippi, he was united in marriage to Rosa Sharon. She preceded him in death on February 28, 2009.

His survivors include, son: Charles J. Hobbs and wife, Mary of Campbell; daughter: Sue Lemarr and husband, Glenn of Campbell; two Grandchildren: Julie Ann Joyner and husband, Steven of Dexter and Charles Jason Hobbs and wife, Heather of Campbell; five great-grandchildren: Charles Jackson Hobbs, Carley Hobbs, McKinsey Sevier, Weston Joyner and Stetson Joyner; four Sisters: Barbara Shepard, Patsy Shepard, Nancy Garcia and Charlene Murphy; brother: Roger Hobbs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant child: Mickey Roseann Hobbs; three sisters: Cona Cornman, Juanita Bradfield and Aline Black and brother: Johnny Hobbs.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with funeral services following at 11 a.m., with Bro. Otis Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
