Charles Leon Furlong, 86 of Malden passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Dexter, Missouri.  Charles Leon Furlong was born on December 26, 1933 in Parma, Missouri to the late John Henry Furlong & Ada Deane Furlong.

Mr. Furlong worked at Pepsi Cola for several years before becoming a postal carrier. He served in the U S Army and was a member of the Sunnyvale General Baptist Church in Malden. On January 30, 1954 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Lou Taylor Furlong in Malden. She preceded him in death on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

His survivors include:  Daughter: Teresa Rush & husband, Doug of Cypress, Texas. Son: John Furlong of St. Louis. Family loved one: Gregory Rieger of St. Louis. Grandchildren: Douglas Rush & wife, Jessica of Wichita, Kansas and Sarah Hostetler & husband, Ryan of Springfield, MO. Great-grandchildren: Malachi Hostetler, Elisha Hostetler, Katherine Rush & Ezekiel Hostetler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and sister: Jeanette Furlong Baur.

Pallbearers: Douglas Rush, Ryan Hostetler, Kenny Baur, Gary Schmidt & Jared Brown.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Elijah Allen, Renee Porter and James Hamlett officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
