Campbell ~ Cecil Lee Thacker, Sr., 80 of Campbell, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the Campbell Health Care and Senior Living in Campbell, Missouri.

Cecil, son of William Joseph and Mary Lattie Jane Clayton Thacker, was born on Wednesday, March 10, 1943 in Campbell, Missouri.

He worked at Plastene's and was a member of the Assembly of God in Campbell.

On August 13, 1972 in Campbell, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Gay Dawn Passley.  She preceded him in death on December 23, 2016.

His survivors include three sons, Cecil "Rusty" Thacker, Jr. and wife, Tanica of Campbell, Kenny Thacker of Marble Hill, James Paxton and wife, Sherryl of Gideon; one daughter, Tina Crudington of Campbell; ten grandchildren, Taylor Dawson, Haylee Cate, Dustin Thacker, Jamie Baggett, Joshua Paxton, Sharon Leeks, Justin Crudington, Heather Wells, D.J. Wells and Justin Leeks;  numerous great grandchildren and one sister, Gail Moore of Waskom, Texas and other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Janna Matheny; one son, Jackie Thacker; one granddaughter, Misty Dickens; five brothers, Bill Thacker, Don Thacker, Charlie Thacker, Bob Thacker, Richard Thacker and sister, Janice Parks.

Visitation will begin at 10 A.M., Monday, July 24, 2023 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Missouri, with services beginning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Winford Woodhall officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
