Bernie ~ Carlos “Jesse” Gracia Valensuela, 86 of Bernie, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Mercy Hospital of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri.

Carlos, son of the late Agustin Gracia Parra and Fransisca Valensuela Tremillo, was born on Sunday, November 5, 1939 in Guillermo Prieto, Durango, Mexico.

Carlos was a farmer and attended the Unity Full Gospel Church in Bernie, Missouri.

On May 1, 1975 in Malden, Missouri he was united in marriage to Nancy Hobbs. She survives.

Other survivors include children, Agustin Gracia and wife, Herminia, Rosa Gracia, Maricela Gracia, Juan Gracia and wife, Vicky and Gabriella Gracia and husband, Ivan Morales all of Marionville, Missouri, Bobby Wise and wife Mary, Carlos Allen Gracia, Lara Spratling and husband, Jeff and Angelina Gracia Champion and husband, Royce all of Bernie; 28 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jose Gracia Valensuela, Maria Gracia Valensuela, Jesus Gracia Valensuela, Ramiro Gracia Valensuela, Magdalena Gracia Valensuela, Antonia Gracia Valensuela, Agustin Gracia Valensuela; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Guadalupe Gracia Valensuela, Manuel Gracia Valensuela and two infant’s siblings Magdaleno Gracia Valensuela and Agustin Gracia Valensuela passed away early on.

Visitation will be from 7 – 9 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2026 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Missouri. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell, Missouri with Reverend Jeff Spratling and Reverend Royce Champion officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell, Missouri.
