Obituary

Malden ~ Bonnie Lee Selby, 94 of Malden, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at her residence in Malden, Missouri.

Bonnie, daughter of J. F. and Hallie Harris Irvin, was born on Saturday, August 27, 1927 in Kennett, Missouri.

She was an office supervisor at H.W. Gossard Lingerie in Malden, for many years.  After the closing of Gossard, she then worked over twenty years as a representative of Modern Woodmen of America receiving many distinguished awards and helping many communities.  She was a long-time member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden.

After retirement, she enjoyed travel, working in her church, working in her yard, helping others and enjoying outings with her friends.  She also enjoyed planting and caring for her many flowers.

On December 1, 1946, in Gideon, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Wyman (Abe) Selby.  He preceded her in death on April 19, 2012

Her survivors include, one son, Gary Selby and wife, Jeanie of Wappapello; two grandsons, Kyle Selby and wife, Cheryl of Latta, South Carolina and Shawn Selby of Danville, Alabama; two granddaughters, J'Anna Couch and husband, Wesley of Corning, Arkansas and Montana Chastain and husband, Bryant of Bolivar, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Bob Irvin of O'Fallon, Missouri.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Selby; two brothers, J. T. Irvin and Wes Irvin and one sister, Carolyn Hester.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with funeral services beginning at 3 p.m., with Reverend Aulden LeBlanc officiating.  Burial will follow at Rosewood 1 st Addition Cemetery in Malden.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
