Bobby Steed, son of Emmette Carlyle Steed and Ruby Wood Steed, was born on Monday, June 3, 1940 in Hackleburg, Alabama.  He departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Gosnell Health and Rehab in Gosnell, Arkansas, at the age of 85 years 8 months and 11 days.

He dedicated many years of service to Emerson Electric in the Tool and Die Department and was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church of Malden.

On December 29, 1956, in Rockford, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Shirley Annette Sanders. She survives.

Other survivors include, son, Joe Calvin and wife Sharon of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Debra Ann Sanders of Mountain Home, AR and Lindy Poole of St. Francis, AR; six grandchildren, Jared Garris (Dustin) of Loveland, CO, Tyler Garris (Ashley) of Mountain Home, AR, Cody Garris (Amber) of Norfork, AR, Brandon Steed of Greenwood, MO, Zachary Steed (Michelle) of Ripley, TN and Krystal Joyce of Campbell, MO; 16 great-grandchildren and cherished friends that became family, the Parker family and the Reed family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Blake Poole; two brothers, Roy and Jack Steed and a sister, Lola Faye McWhorter.

Visitation will begin at 11 AM Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at United Pentecostal Church in Malden. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12 PM. with Brother Bobby Moore and Brother Zach Steed officiating.

Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas.
