Bill Meadows was born on Tuesday March 5, 1940 to Columbus Meadows and Verbie Hatchett Meadows in Gideon, Missouri.  He departed this life on Saturday May 31, 2025 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 26 days.

Bill was always known as a man who said what he thought.  A straight shooter some would say.  He loved going to the local restaurants drinking coffee and talking with all of his buddies.  For many years, he was a daily visitor of Harry Blackwell dealership and Sears store in Malden, MO.
Bill had been a farmer his entire life.  He was former owner of B&B Bar in Campbell, MO.  He was a co-owner of Dutchess Hut Cafe and Gena's Restaurant in Campbell, Missouri along with his wife Sharon.

Selling both restaurants to Vondy and son, John Click, a familial relationship was born.  He thought the world of them along with Will Click, Amber Hanners, Gary and Melanie Crowley, and Sam York.  They thought the world of Bill as well.  Always available to check on him and keep him fed when he couldn't get out.  Steve Beltz was like another son to him from an early age and considered family.

Bill married Betty Bowling on June 28, 1958.  Through their union three children were born, Rick Meadows, Randy Meadows (Jeannie), and Lori Knapp, all of Campbell.

Bill had one son, Billy Gene Meadows, Jr.  with Kaye Edwards along with two stepchildren, Connie Edwards and Mary Ruth Blevins.

Bill and Sharon Rickman were married on May 9, 2001 in Piggott, Arkansas.  Through their union, one child was born, Gena Meadows of Poplar Bluff, MO.  Sharon resides in Campbell, MO.

Bill was one of fifteen children.  He is survived by two loving sisters, Barbara Maxwell of Risco, MO  and Beverly Morgan (Richard) of Clarkton, MO.  Other survivors include step daughter, Mary Ruth Blevins;  grandchildren, Ashley Newsom of Kennett, Levi Newsom (Ashley) of Portageville, Brandi Wilson (Danny) of Clover, SC, Jennifer Nickles of Campbell, Billy Brent Meadows (Danielle) of Newport Richey, FL; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, son, Billy Gene Meadows, Jr.; stepson, Connie Edwards; brothers, Albert Meadows, Jerry Meadows, Orland Meadows, James Henry Meadows, Tommy Meadows, Terry Meadows and Paul Meadows and sisters, Arlene Moreland, Mary Young, Doris Atkins, Sharon Metcalf, and Mildred Bearden.  We are so thankful that Bill accepted the Lord as his savior.

Visitation will begin at 12 PM,  Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, MO.  The funeral service will follow at 2 PM, Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with Rev. James Halkis and Rev. Stephen Watkins officiating.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery - Landess Addition.  Serving as honorary pall bearers are Levi Newsom, Jimmy James, Steve Beltz, Richard Morgan, Billy Brent Meadows, Jonathan Snider, John Click, Will Click, and Terry Redden.
