Clarkton ~ Beverly Diane Barnes, 73 of Clarkton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at her residence in Clarkton, Missouri.

Beverly, daughter of Arlie and Myrtle Hendricks Scoggins, was born on Friday, October 21, 1949, in Morrilton, Arkansas.

She was a retired teacher's aide and bus driver and a member of the Lynn Oak General Baptist Church in Clarkton, Missouri.

On November 16,1968 in Gideon, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Ronnie Gene Barnes.  He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Lisa Ann Barnes of Campbell; two brothers, Louis Eugene Scoggins and wife, Betty, James Arnold Scoggins and one sister, Hazel Lee Belvins; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Shirley Pickard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Myrtle Loraine Reese, Mary Elizabeth Darter, Rosie Irene Sims, Doris Jean Scoggins, Sharon Ann George and two brothers, Arlie Austin "Bud" Scoggins, Jr., and Robert Joe Scoggins.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 26. 2023 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with the service beginning at 1 p.m., with Reverend Stephen Watkins officiating.  Burial will follow at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden, will be assisting the family with arrangements.
