Campbell ~ Betty Jean (Reed) Derby, 93 of Campbell, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas.

Mrs. Derby, daughter of Elmer and Beulah McCoy Reed, was born on Wednesday, September 25, 1929 in Gideon, Missouri.

Betty graduated from Campbell High School, was a homemaker and worked at Gideon-Anderson as an office secretary and also worked at the Gideon Bank.  She was a member of the Crosspointe Family Church and was involved in many church and community activities.

On June 10, 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Guy Robert Derby.  He preceded her in death on January 17, 2003.

Her survivors include one niece, Mary Lou Reed Riddle (Jerry) of Jonesboro; four great nieces, Laura McFarlin (Stan), Melanie Leonard (David) and Natalie Teague all of Jonesboro and Lynda Hamm (Dennis) of Tullahoma, Tennessee

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Reed and one sister, Hazelle Reed Manship.

Visitation will begin at 1 P.M, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Missouri, with services beginning at 2 p.m. with Reverend Randy Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
