Malden ~ Betty Mae Davis,75, was born the oldest child to the late Ules C. Walker Sr. and Effie Mae Payne Walker on April 20, 1947, in Catron, MO. It was on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Winchester Place, while surrounded by her family, she quietly transitioned from morality to immortality as an angel ushered her into her eternal rest.

Betty Mae was raised and educated in Malden, MO. She has always been known for her "Loud" laugh, exaggerated stories and "chewing her gum."

Betty was a woman of great faith. She received Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Macedonia M.B. Church, were she served in the music ministry as a choir member, and a devoted worker on the kitchen committee.

Betty's combination of faith in God, her positive outlook on life, compassion for people, and a fierce determination to do His will impacted those around her. Her upbeat outlook on life was infectious and when combined with her love for her family and sense of humor, her un-failing trust in the Lord Jesus caused many who interacted with her, to want more of the giving spirit and rich wisdom that flowed from her so effortlessly.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Davis Sr.; father, Ules C. Walker "Bubba Sr."; brother, "Bubba Jr." Walker; and great granddaughter, Isla L. Clark; in which she will be missed dearly.

Betty's memories will forever be cherished by her mother, Effie Mae Payne of Malden; her children, Stephanie Davis, and James H. Davis Jr. both of Gary, IN.; grandchildren, Queniqua, Tony, Tre'velle, Tayila', Jamaree, Tayvion, James, and Jordan; great grandchildren, E'zyah, Isla, Dylan, Kannon, and Daxx; three sisters, Linda (James) Pettigrew, Gerri Walker, and Billie (Walter) Reid; two brothers, Clarence J. Walker and Gary (Rosie) Walker; special cousins, Alven Ross, and Angela Johnson; two special daughters, Nichole Dorris, and Alvia Dyson; special friends, Larry Smith, Brad James,  Elbert Porter, Mary Ann; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden, with services beginning at 11 a.m., in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Jay  Slaughter, officiating.  Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
