Barbara Jean Summers, age 82, of Malden, MO passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at her residence in Malden.

Barbara was born to the late Walter and Pearl Triplett Pruett, in Poplar Bluff on Thursday, August 19, 1943.

Barbara was a homemaker and was a member of SEMO Community Church in Malden.

On December 26, 1962 in Malden, Missouri, she was united in marriage to DW Summers, he survives.

Her other survivors include son, Shawn Summers and wife Denise of Malden; daughter, Tara Hope Pickard and husband, Mark of Malden; seven grandchildren, Jackie Summers, Chris Summers, Ian Pickard, Payton Pickard, Taylor Miller, Morgan Cross, Ashley Collins; five great-grandchildren, Stormi Summers, Jameson Collins, Jaxson Miller, Ryleigh Miller and Isaac Cross and a sister-in-law, Gail Summers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Pruett and brother-in-law, Garland Summers.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2025 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden, Missouri.  Funeral Service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. with Reverend Aulden LeBlanc officiating. Burial following in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
