High Ridge ~ Barbara Joan Skinner 78 of High Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Mercy South in St. Louis, Missouri.

Barbara, daughter of Fred Hillard and Lilly May Malin Sharley, was born on Sunday, February 24, 1946 in Campbell, Missouri.

She worked at Haas Bakery for over 30 years.  Barbara later owned and operated her own wedding cake designing company, then later worked for Dierbergs Bakery. She also served as a volunteer at the YMCA South County.  She was of the Baptist Faith, with strong spiritual believes she lived by.

On May 25, 1963 in Malden, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Sammy Dale Skinner.  He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Sammy Dale Skinner, Jr. and Darian Scott Skinner; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Sharley and one sister, Kathy Dowling.

She was preceded in death parents; five brothers and sisters.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Sunday, September  1, 2024 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, Missouri, with funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Elder Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
