Parma ~ Alvie Lee Carter, 87 of Parma, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Missouri.
Alvie, son of Hubert Harold and Ledie Bell Freeman Carter, was born on Saturday, January 13, 1934, in Paragould, Arkansas.
He retired from Noranda and was a member of the Church of Christ in Malden.
In May 1953 in Sikeston, he was united in marriage to Frances Mae Nordin. She survives.
Other survivors include, three sons, Mickeal Lee Carter of Bernie, Landall Ray Carter and wife, Dawna of Dexter, Darrell Gene Carter of Malden; six grandchildren, Luke Carter, Abby Owens, Ross Carter, Kyle Carter, Summer Dunkin and Natalie Delahunt; ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Virginia Copeland and husband, Leon of Poplar Bluff.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Alberta Hicks, Corriane Berry and Linda Gilmore.
Visitation will begin at 12 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m., with Mr. Kyle Carter and Mr. Kevin Lawrance officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood 1 st Addition Cemetery in Malden.
Landess Funeral Home of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
