Glennonville ~ Alan John Blume of Glennonville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Alan, son of John Matthias and Joan Annette Peters Blume, was born on Saturday, June 15, 1963, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He had worked at Federal Mogul and was member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

On July 6, 2011, in Piggott, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Kelly Netherton.  She survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Joan Blume of Glennonville; step-daughters, Brandy New and husband, Derik of Malden, Tosha Walker and husband, Matt of Bernie; grandchildren, Emma, Elyse, Elliott, Cora and Isla; sisters, Barbara Krus and husband, Gary of Festus, Patricia Darnell and husband, David of Cape Girardeau, Linda Caldwell and husband, Paul of High Ridge, Mary Blume of Glennonville; brothers, Joe Blume and wife, Tracy and Tim Blume and wife, Sydney all of Glennonville; multiple nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Blume.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with Rosary at 7 p.m.  Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2024 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Glennonville, with Father Victor Anokwute officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery in Glennonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer, St. Teresa Parish or a charity of one choice.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
